Ronald T. White attended elementary schools in Glendora and Azusa, graduating from Azusa High School, California College of Mortuary Science, and California State Polytechnic University with a degree in business management. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War era, graduated from the Army Intelligence School and received the Army Commendation Medal for meritorious service. Ron has been associated with White's Funeral Home, founded in 1917 by Dan and Grace White, in Azusa since his release from the army in 1971.
Professionally, he is a member and past president of the Los Angeles County Funeral Directors Association, California Funeral Directors Association and California Master Trust. He is a member of the National Funeral Director's Association and former West Coast media spokesperson for the national group. He is a former board member of the Cypress College Mortuary Science Advisory Committee, Southern California Sudden Infant Death Syndrome Counseling Project, and Los Angeles County Coroner Building Corporation, where he served as treasurer.
His civic involvement includes membership in the Rotary Club of Glendora, a past president of the Rotary Club of Azusa, and is a former member of the Azusa-Glendora-Irwindale Foothills Sunrise Rotary Club. White's Funeral Home is a long time member and supporter of the Glendora and Azusa Chambers of Commerce. Ron is a founding member and former president of the Foothill Presbyterian Hospital Men's Club. He is a former board member of the Citrus College Foundation, the Foothill Foundation and is a past president of the Glendora Library Friends Foundation.
