As faithful and obedient in death as she was in life to her Holy Father, another angel has risen into heaven to walk for eternity with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. On December 24, 2009 at 7:25 AM, after an eight-year battle with cancer, Mary L. Kelly 61, of Warrenton, VA answered God’s call to come home to heaven and wear her wings.
Cherished by all of those who knew and loved her, Mary’s spirit of Love, strength, wisdom and charity will be a legacy always remembered. Mary was preceded in death by her beloved parents Luther and Helen Ray, Her beloved husband and father of her five children- John Paul Kelly, and her brother Roger D. Ray.
Mary is survived by her loving brothers William Ray, Southgate, MI, and Howard Ray, Heathsville, VA; her loving children- Paul, Michael and Keith all of Gadsden, AL, James of Bealeton, VA and Paula of Sumerduck, VA; her loving fiance Lee Hill of Warrenton, VA; her eleven grandchildren, one great grandchild, her aunt, her sisters-in-law, her son and daughter-in-law and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service which begins at 10:00 AM Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009 at Moser Funeral Home, 233 Broadview Ave., Warrenton, VA. Burial will be in Bright View Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her sons- Paul, James, Michael, and Keith Kelly, her grandson Justin Kelly and family friend, Michael Dillon.
The family wishes to extend their sincerest thanks and gratitude to Dr. Robert Marsh and the wonderful ladies at the Infusion Center for all of the wonderful care and treatment they gave. Mary spoke very highly of them all and cherished them in her heart. Per Mary’s wishes, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Susan Komen Foundation or other cancer research in order to continue to fight to find the cure.
