Juliette Augusta Cross of Midland, VA died on December 26, 2009 at her home. She was born in Belgium on December 3, 1925 to the late Hugo and Maria Mertens and was also preceded in death by two brothers. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 11 in Meridian, MS. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Willard E. Cross, three sons, James Cross and Michael Cross of Fredericksburg, VA and Daniel Cross of Bealeton, VA and a grandson Daniel Joseph Cross. Also surviving are her sisters, Rosalie Mertens and NeeNee Mertens along with 12 nieces and nephews all in Belgium. Graveside services will be held at a later date in West Virginia.
