Everett “Tom” Simms of Catlett, VA died on November 26, 2009 at Oak Springs of Warrenton. He was born on September 7, 1921 in Alexandria, VA to the late Everett D. Simms, Sr. and Katherine Simms. He was also preceded in death by his wife Mary Dorothy Simms. Everett worked as a carpenter and was a member of the local carpenters union. He is survived by his son, Robert D. Simms of Front Royal, VA, his daughter, Mary E. Whitacre, of Catlett, VA and two grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 29 from 2pm until the time of a funeral service at 4pm at Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton VA 20186. Another funeral service will be held at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Alexandria, VA on Monday, November 30 at 1pm. Interment will follow in Mt. Comfort Cemetery, Alexandria, VA.
