We own and operate
Columbia River Crematory
which is on site and available for your inspection. By owning our own crematory, we can offer your family more efficient service and give you the peace of mind in knowing that your loved one will never leave our care.
In addition, we can involve family members in the cremation process if they choose. This option is usually not available to people who choose a funeral establishment that does not own their own crematory.
The cremation services we can offer to your family are as follows:
Traditional Cremation Package $3200
This package is designed for those families who have decided on cremation as a final disposition but still see the value in having viewing and/or the body present during a funeral service. This includes basic services of funeral directors and staff, embalming, other preparation of remains, use of facilities and staff for viewing and for the ceremony, use of automotive equipment necessary, acknowledgment cards, register book and standard memorial folders. Crematory charges are included Cremation casket or container is extra.
Memorial Cremation Package with Tribute Video $2750
This package is for those families who do not wish to have a viewing or have the casket present at the ceremony, but still wish to have a memorial ceremony for family and friends. This package includes basic services of funeral directors and staff, use of facilities and staff to arrange and direct memorial ceremony in Gardner Funeral Home or another facility, automotive equipment necessary, acknowledgment cards, register book, and standard memorial folders. Crematory charges are included
Cremation casket or container is extra.
Memorial Graveside Package $2500
This package includes everything from the Memorial Cremation Package (above) but the service is held at the cemetery.
Memorial Reception $2900
This package is designed for those families who wish to celebrate a loved one's life in a more relaxed fashion. Rather than a formal service, the memorial reception is meant to be a time for friends and family to reminisce and enjoy each other's company over refreshments. This packages includes basic services of funeral directors and staff, use of Gardner Chapel in Stevenson or White Salmon (two hours), acknowledgment cards, register book, memorial folders, staff to set up, oversee, and clean up, four large deli trays, ten dozen cookies, coffee and punch, and all paper supplies. Crematory charges are included Cremation casket or container is extra.
Direct Cremation
Our charge for direct cremation includes local removal of remains, basic sanitary care and refrigeration, necessary services of staff, securing authorizations and transportation.
Also included are all crematory charges.
Does not include embalming, visitation or any funeral rites or ceremonies. If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering). The services we provide are:
A. Direct cremation with container provided by the purchaser $1425
B. Direct cremation with alternative container (cardboard covered wood tray) $1500
C. Direct cremation with container selected from our display (in addition to cost of
