Anderson Funeral Home, located in Historic Gainesboro, has served Jackson County, TN since 1946 when it was established by Mr.and Mrs.Charles D. Sutton as Sutton Funeral Home.

The establishment in the 1960's became known as Sutton-Anderson Funeral Home when James Paul Anderson became a partner. Later, James Paul Anderson purchased Sutton's share and the name, Anderson Funeral Home, was used.

Although ownship has change twice since James Paul Anderson sold to Robert Gribble and Hobert Smith in 1981, the funeral home continues to operate as Anderson Funeral Home. Through the present owners, Larry and Melicent Clinkenbeard Anderson Funeral Home, Inc., continues to be in the heart of Jackson County with Jackson County at heart.

In November of 2004 we purchased Rob Draper & John L. Clark Memorial Cemeteries.
